Guernsey is the second largest of the Channel Islands, And part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, consisting of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou & Lihou. Guernsey measures approximately 9 x 3 Miles, with a total area of approximately 25 square miles.
Guernsey comes under the British Crown and is 80 miles from the South coast of England and 30 miles from the coast of France
Animals - There are no restrictions on animals arriving from the UK, but from any other location there are controls which would involve quarantine.
Currency - Guernsey issues its own notes and coins, which are of equal value to Sterling - But British money can also be used.
Customs Allowances - Guernsey is not part of the EC, so there are restrictions & limits on taking cigarettes, alchohol etc. to/from the Island
Licensing hours - Monday - Saturday 10am - 1145pm
                           Sunday 12am - 3.30pm, and also from 6pm along with the purchase of a meal  
Public Holidays - Exactly the same as the rest of the UK + 09th May (Liberation Day)
Petrol - You cannot buy petrol on a Sunday
